Social Responsability
CCDIA
CCDIA - the Co-operative Centre for the Development of Children and Teenagers - is a Brazilian NGO (non-governmental organisation) working with children at risk.
CCDIA was formed in 1991 to use social, educational and spiritual development as a preventative means to stop the growing tide of children moving to the streets.
Our work takes the form of education projects planted in disadvantaged communities. Working with the children with greatest social and educational need, we have a near 100% success rate in helping children pass the year at school and reintroducing those that have dropped out. You can read more about our work with children in the section on 'projects'.
CCDIA works in close partnership with Brazilian churches. We provide the churches with the resources and expertise they need to establish projects of their own. CCDIA's projects are owned and run by the communities they serve.

Refazer
REFAZER is a charitable non-profit oriented institution that provides assistance to children, adolescents and risk pregnant girls who are at high risk after being discharged from the Instituto Fernandes Figueira hospital, run by FIOCRUZ, which is a reference in mother and child care in Rio de Janeiro. It offers temporary help to patients in the form of medicines, special help, food help for the family, information on citizens’ rights, health and education, equipment (wheelchairs, oxygen etc). It also provides assistance to children with chronic illnesses that require long treatments, prolonged hospitalization and expensive material, who, once finishing their treatment, would possibly go back to hardships, which would compromise or destroy all the high level treatment with which they have been provided.
